The Last Day: Part I

We are doing our best to slow down time and keep this day going!  Memories have been made thus far through Flag Pole, Assembly, Would You Rather Thursday and the first hour of Ranks.  Have a look!

Blog Post Number 300!

It has been amazing to see the growth and following of our camp’s blog.  We have added new features and have always strived to provide the best possible picture of our camp on this blog.  If you have any other family or friends that might be interested in checking out what our campers get up to during the day direct them here to the blog!  Thanks to the parents who have supported this blog and this camp, Camp Outer Limits!

Here are the pictures from Flag Pole and Morning Assembly.  The Double Dare Tuesday Challenge involved Connor and Jai.  Jai had 30 seconds to get as much baby lotion on Connor as possible, with his feet!

Fun at Morning Assembly!

This morning we had to slightly modify our schedule.  We had flag pole inside because of the rain and then went straight into morning assembly.  The energy from flag pole carried over and we had a great time!

Starting the Day Right

We start each and every day of camp with Flag Pole.  It’s a great time us to honor our country and to recognize campers who have had a great morning.  Each morning we pick four campers.  One holds the American flag, one holds the Camp O Flag, one person to start the Pledge of Allegiance, and finally one camper to start the Star Spangled Banner.

Waving Flags!

Have you ever had that feeling finding a misplaced item?  Yesterday Jai and Josh were overcome with joy when they found the Camp Outer Limits flag.  Flag pole is a great time of the day, but it hasn’t been the same not having the Camp O.  Today was different, we had both flags, loud helpers, and a crowd of patriotic campers!  From flag pole we moved into what was a very entertaining assembly.  Campers worked up a sweat dancing, got to see a hilarious Would You Rather challenge, and the skit.  Have a look!

Monday Week 7!

We look at everyday at camp to be the best day of the summer.  We like to think that each day will be even better than the last.  With the way week 7 has gotten underway it’s shaping up to be our best week yet!  The Birdie Song was sung loudly to get assembly started, and we got to meet some Australian bobsledders! (Check the Skits page for that video!)  Campers were treated to a milk and cereal messy monday challenge, and a great session of ranks!  Lastly, we got our first look at Lacrosse Camp!  The Lizards counselor, Coach Dan, has been waiting all summer for lacrosse and ran a great skill session with the campers!  Thanks to everyone for a great Monday morning at Outer Limits and Sports Camp!

From Flag Pole to Wacky Wednesday

Camp traditions are very important to us at Outer Limits and Sports Camp.  We start each day with Flag Pole.  It’s a time for us to celebrate our country.  We say the pledge and sing the national anthem.  Adding new traditions is something we are actively trying to start around camp each summer.  Austin, our assistant director, has started a new tradition we have done all summer and it’s great.  We call it the Wacky Wednesday Cat Walk.  Campers and counselors who are dressed up get to come in front of  assembly and do a walk for all of camp.  There are cheers for the crowd as the applause determines who will win.  Congratulations to our Week 6 winners Nick and Kaitlyn!

Monday Morning at Camp!

The first part of our day at camp sets the table for the rest.  When we have a great Flag Pole and an exciting morning assembly, our campers feed off of that enthusiasm and passion during the rest of the day.  Today was one of those mornings at camp.

Family Night Reminder:

Our third Family Night of the summer is this Thursday at 7:00 PM.  It is our Camp O-Apalooza, music themed Family Night.  We will have a tie dye station on Thursday and we are encouraging parents and campers to bring a shirt to tie dye.  As the week progresses we will be sending out a couple more reminders about Family Night.

A Hauntingly Good Time at Camp!

Boo!  Halloween Wacky Wednesday was a tremendous success!  It was awesome seeing so many campers dressed in a wide variety of costumes.  Even campers who weren’t dress up were still wearing black and orange!  Have a look at some of the costumes from this morning!

Starting Off Stars & Stripes Week Right

We are glad to have everyone back for a holiday shortened week at Outer Limits and Sports Camp!  Tomorrow, campers can show their patriotism by wearing red, white, and blue.  We had a great flag pole this morning!  The energy and enthusiasm during flag pole set the table for an amazing morning at camp.  Jai led morning assembly and it was rockin’!  Campers got to see a skit and a messy Monday challenge that involved shaving cream and cereal.  Below are the photos and videos from another fun morning at camp!
