Friday Assembly Videos

Here are some more videos.  These come from this morning’s assembly.  Today is our last day at Mills Park Middle School for the summer, don’t worry we’ll be back next summer!  Next week we move to the elementary school for four days (Friday is a teacher workday).  With the time we had left we had a fantastic morning assembly.  Campers went crazy dancing and had plenty of energy during the Birdie Song.  We are incredibly grateful for our camper’s parents.  Thanks for sending us your children each day.  We hope this blog has been a way for you to see what they get up to while you’re off at work.  Enjoy the videos!

 

Purple Morning Assembly

Today we celebrated a unique Sports Camp moment during morning assembly.  All summer our campers are tasked with passing off levels in their blue books.  These levels involve skills and knowledge of the sport.  Purple level is the final and toughest level to complete.  We want to congratulate Thomas and Nick for their hard work all summer to pass off all the soccer levels and earn their Purple Level trophies!  Enjoy some pictures from assembly!

Monday Week 7!

We look at everyday at camp to be the best day of the summer.  We like to think that each day will be even better than the last.  With the way week 7 has gotten underway it’s shaping up to be our best week yet!  The Birdie Song was sung loudly to get assembly started, and we got to meet some Australian bobsledders! (Check the Skits page for that video!)  Campers were treated to a milk and cereal messy monday challenge, and a great session of ranks!  Lastly, we got our first look at Lacrosse Camp!  The Lizards counselor, Coach Dan, has been waiting all summer for lacrosse and ran a great skill session with the campers!  Thanks to everyone for a great Monday morning at Outer Limits and Sports Camp!

An Epic Messy Monday!

We had a blast at assembly this morning!  Our campers were treated to an awesome Messy Monday that got 2 counselors, 1 office manager, and the Assistant Director messy!  Have a look at some of the pictures and the messy video!

First Friday at Camp!

We have a had a wonderful first week to kick off our 25th summer at Camp Outer Limits.  Campers have worked hard to pass of ranks and skills, they have danced, and had a blast.  This morning we offered the usual variety of Ranks and we have lots more planned for this afternoon!  Sports Camp will have their scrimmages from 3 to 4 and Outer Limits will be holding a Powder Puff game!  Stay tuned to the blog throughout the day as we update it with all the exciting things happening today.  Thanks to all the parents, campers, and staff for a great first week!  We are made humble by the challenge of serving 230 kids each week.  We can’t wait to start Week 2 on Monday and we hope to see you there!

Club O!

The last day of camp gave us the perfect opportunity to bring back Club O.  Club O is the exclusive dance party that comes to Outer Limits once a summer.  There were glow sticks, lights, and some awesome music!  Below are the exclusive and official pictures from Club O!

Hello Seattle (Art Room Remix)

Keeping camp fun and exciting for all of our campers is a part of all of our job descriptions.  Whether it’s your first summer or seventh we all want to make each day at Outer Limits memorable.  Here’s an example of how we do that…  This morning during Arts & Crafts Rank our campers were busy working on their projects until Jai, Assistant Director of camp, came in the room.  Knowing that Arts & Crafts was going to be offered again during our second hour of Ranks Jai had an idea.  Thinking on the fly he took the speaker from the front porch and brought it into the art room and started to play some music.  What happened next was the best dance party we have had all summer!  Campers were going crazy and having the best time!  Take a look at a few of the pictures and a video from this epic impromptu dance party.

 

Lets Dance!

This afternoon our camp 3 huddle, the Autobots, had an dance party with our friends from Camp Rising Sun.  The music was loud, the dancing was fun, and the campers had a lot sweat when it was all said and done.  Have a look at some of the pictures!
